The Advent School

Since 1961, The Advent School has stayed true to its founding vision: an urban school whose community reflects the diversity of Boston; a forward thinking curriculum that inspires and engages a child’s passion for learning; a commitment to social justice; and a culture of collaboration where every child has the confidence to take action in a connected world.

Advent is a private, K through 6th grade school based in Boston, Massachusetts. We designed their donor brochure to highlight the school’s key events of 2018 and 2019.

Our approach was to design a magazine style brochure with involving imagery, typography, and large skimmable pull quotes. We created sections within the 40-page brochure that featured key data points focusing on student and donor events. The design approach was very eclectic, which we felt worked well with the school’s energy and the Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum. Recently we learned that the brochure we designed for The Advent School won a Circle of Excellence award. The Circle of Excellence (or CASE) is an international awards program that honors outstanding work in advancement.
