White Plans Hospital – 125th Anniversary Book
White Plains Hospital
White Plains Hospital is a leading Westchester County healthcare provider, offering advanced technology and specialty care typically found at major teaching hospitals—paired with compassionate, community-based service.
To celebrate its 125th anniversary, White Plains Hospital produced a 148-page pictorial history book as a lasting keepsake. Nearly three years in the making, 2,000 oversized copies were printed in fall 2018, including a limited run of 650 linen slipcases featuring a hand-applied image of the Hospital’s 1939 bas relief. Organized into five themed sections—Bricks and Mortar, Physicians and Surgeons, Nursing, Innovation, and Community—the book presents the Hospital’s history with narrative depth and visual richness. Premium production details included a cloth cover with debossing and foil stamping, printed endleaves, vellum pages, metallic inks, smyth-sewn binding, and a ribbon bookmark. Printed by Blanchette Press, it earned Sappi North America’s Gold Printer of the Year award.

The team that worked on this incredible effort created something truly memorable. It was a labor of love and captured the heart and soul of our historic, community-based hospital.
